We’re excited to share that we are partnering with the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board to build The Trailhead in Theodore Wirth Park. The Loppet Foundation has raised a significant amount of support so far, but now we need your help.

Who: The Trailhead will be a home for you and other outdoor enthusiasts in the community. Skiers, bikers, hikers, runners, snowboarders, golfers alike . . .

What: A year-round, 14,000 sq. ft. facility, expanded trails, learning/staging areas, and snow-making capabilities.

Where: Near the existing Par 3 building north of Highway 55. (The historic chalet will remain as a golf clubhouse)

When: To date, we are 75% towards our capital project goal of $8.5 Million. We began construction on the project in Spring 2017, with trails and the facility planning to open in Spring 2018.

Why: We believe that the Trailhead will create a space for diverse communities to unite over a shared enthusiasm for year-round outdoor activities.
